Rockfire Resources PLC - Australia-focused gold and base metal exploration company - Says soil sampling has been completed at the Bell Rock gold prospect where gold and silver samples have been found, with assay results pending. Identifies new copper prospect called Otway within the Lighthouse tenement from rock chip samples. Says future work will include soil sampling to determine the extent of the mineralisation.
"The receipt of multiple, highly encouraging rock sample results from Bell Rock, including one sample of 9.9 grams per tonne of gold and 21 grams per tonne of silver is an exciting advancement of the prospect. The target remains open to the east and west and extension of the soil grid towards the northeast has recently been completed. A new copper prospect within the Lighthouse tenement, called Otway, was identified from structural interpretation by Rockfire's geologists. This prospect lies approximately 4.5 kilometres northwest of Plateau and has anomalous copper in historical stream sediment sample results," says Chief Executive David Price.
