Resolute Mining Ltd - operator of Syama gold mine, Mali - Receives notice from Union Nationale des Travailleurs du Mali SOMISY-SA that union plans a 10-day strike at Syama if "certain" demands are not met. Union wants Resolute to reinstate workers who had been stood down on full pay as a result of Covid-19. "The company is considering how to respond to the strike notice and intends to continue to seek the Union's understanding and support for the appropriate actions, consistent with Malian labour laws, being taken to maintain the safety and sustainability of operations at Syama," Resolute said. Company withdraws 2020 output and cost guidance as a result.
