IN BRIEF: React shares fall as Covid decontamination work demand drops

React Group PLC - South Derbyshire, England-based cleaning, hygiene and decontamination firm - Shares drop 10% to 2.99 pence Tuesday morning after it notes a slowdown in its reactive emergency cleaning business as the country stutters towards the lifting of lockdown restrictions. React says Covid decontamination work has been reducing and that the more typically reactive emergency cleaning work has been slow to pick up for the six months ended March 31. Contract maintenance work has performed well, with little or no impact from the pandemic.

Revenue for the half-year period is up 20% to GBP2.5 million from GBP2.1 million a year previously. Profit is 48% higher year-on-year at GBP74,000.

Current stock price: 2.97 pence, down 10% Tuesday

Year-to-date change: more than doubled from 1.33p
