Power Metal Resources PLC - London-based metals exploration and development company with projects in Australia, Botswana, Tanzania and elsewhere - Reports narrowed pretax loss of GBP256,000 for the six months ended March 31 compared with previous year's GBP335,000 loss. This resulted mostly from a GBP60,000 gain on fair value compared to no such gain the year before. A small 5.7% reduction in operating expenses to GBP316,000 also helped narrow the loss. Power Metal is conducting due diligence on new project opportunities, but its main focus is now on developing its existing portfolio through either exploration programmes or commercialisation deals.
