IN BRIEF: Power Metal begins phase one programme at Athabasca Basin

Power Metal Resources PLC - London-based metals exploration company focused in North America, Africa and Australia - Says phase one work programme now underway at Clearwater, Tait Hill and Thibault Lake properties at Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada. Phase II programme is under preparation for Soaring Bay property. At Thibault Lake, exploration team are prioritising initial follow-up work after 2021 mapping and sampling programme return uranium samples assays of up to 3.86% uranium oxide. Says the programme will use handheld gamma-ray field spectrometer for real time radiometric analysis and mapping, with laboratory assays to include tests for uranium, rare earth elements, transition metals and precious/base metals.

"The planned work will build on the positive findings of the 2021 fieldwork, providing more extensive and in-depth results over each area property...With the commencement of this work, Power Metal now has three field-based exploration programmes currently underway: the Athabasca Portfolio in Canada; and the Molopo Farms Complex Project and Tati Project in Botswana," says Chief Executive Officer Paul Johnson.

Current stock price: 0.95 pence, closed up 5.6% on Wednesday in London
