Oriole Resources PLC - exploration company operating in Africa and Europe - Says results for 8 holes drilled at Bakassi Zone 1 prospect at its 51%-owned Bibemi gold project deliver multiple multi-gram intersections from two fence lines in the southwest of the prospect and confirm more than 100 metres vertical continuity to the system from surface. Best intersections include 2.45 metres grading 2.96 grams per tonne gold and 3.60 metres grading 1.75 grams per tonne gold from BBDD007 and 12.40 metres grading 0.71 grams per tonne gold from BBDD009.
Still anticipated that remaining results for Bakassi Zone 1, Bakassi Zone 2, Lawa West and Lawa East will be reported by end of second quarter.
"These results prove that our preliminary exploration model for mineralisation is correct and that the orogenic-style mineralisation we had previously identified at surface does indeed continue vertically along the mapped shear/vein systems," says Chief Executive Tim Livesey.
