Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust PLC - London-based investment company focused on renewable energy assets in Europe and Australia - Agrees to invest up to GBP10 million in development funding for nine newly formed onshore wind farm development companies. The investment is a joint venture with Wind 2 Ltd, a Flintshire, Wales-based wind energy developer with projects focused in Scotland. The joint ventures will initially target the development of up to nine onshore wind farms in Scotland and Wales over the next 5 to 10 years. The potential combined capacity of the wind farms is approximately 570 megawatts. Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust says it has the preferential rights to fund the construction of the projects reaching the ready to build stage along with Octopus Renewables Ltd.
Current stock price: 109.26 pence, up 0.4% on Wednesday.
