IN BRIEF: Norish proposes 2020 payout despite double-digit profit fall

Norish PLC - warehousing company - Says revenue reduced by 2% to GBP33.4 million in 2020, while pretax profit fell by 14% to GBP2.0 million. Revenue was mainly down on the lower pallets received and lower blast freezing volumes. Norish proposes dividend of 2.0 euro cents per share. A year before, it proposed but did not pay a dividend of 1.90 euro cents per share. During 2020, the company decided to discontinue ambient warehousing in Ireland. Going forward, the company reports that the improvement experienced in the cold store division in the later months of 2020, has continued through January and February and into March. Meanwhile, its product sourcing division has been hurt by Covid 19 and Brexit in January and February.

Current stock price: 125.00 pence, up 7.8% on Friday

Year-to-date change: up 13%
