IN BRIEF: Naked Wines Loss Widens But Upgrades Full-Year Sales Outlook

Naked Wines PLC - Norwich, Norfolk-based online wine retailer - Revenue in half-year to September 28 rises 80% to GBP157.1 million from GBP87.5 million a year before. Pretax loss widens to GBP8.9 million from GBP6.2 million, which company says is driven by GBP4.0 million charge reflecting a write down to nil in the fair value of the deferred contingent consideration receivable for the Majestic Calais stores, agreed as part of the disposal of the Majestic high-street wine business.

Says positive trading momentum continues into second half.

"The many scale achievements are seen as enduring and based on our central case assumptions we are upgrading expected sales growth to [be] 55% to 65% for the current year," says Naked Wines.

Current stock price: 500.00 pence

Year-to-date change: more than double 226p at end of 2019
