IN BRIEF: Moody's Gives M&S Negative Outlook Amid Profitability Issues

22nd Jun 2020 14:08

Marks & Spencer Group PLC - London-headquartered food, clothing & home products retailer - Moody's Investors Service confirms Ba1 senior unsecured long-term ratings of M&S and the company's (P)Ba1 long term medium-term note program rating. Ratings agency has also confirmed the company's Ba1 corporate family rating and Ba1-PD probability of default rating. The outlook has been revised to negative from ratings under review, reflecting risks that the retailer's profitability and credit metrics during or beyond fiscal 2022 do not recover in line with Moody's expectations.
