IN BRIEF: Mid Wynd International NAV grows, underperforms benchmark

3rd Sep 2021 15:37

Mid Wynd International Investment Trust - investor in international stocks managed by Artemis - Net asset value per share rises 23% in the 2021 financial year, to 754.43 pence on June 30 from 612.61p a year prior. The benchmark MSCI All Country World Index grew 25% in the period. Net return before tax more than doubles to GBP81.7 million from GBP30.3 million in financial 2020.

Top contributor to performance was Freeport-McMoRan Inc, while Quidel Corp was the biggest laggard. Continues to focus on growth stocks over value for the long term, as they do not rely on a recovery, have continued to grow cash flows and valuations do not look overstretched.

Current stock price: 824.96 pence

Year-to-date change: up 15%
