Longboat Energy PLC - Norway and Malaysia-focused full-cycle exploration and production company - Notes announcement by Equinor Energy AS that production has started at the Statfjord Ost project in the North Sea, six months ahead of schedule. Statjord Ost is operated by Stavanger, Norway-based oil and gas explorer Equinor. Longboat holds a 4.8% interest in the project area. Production is expected to increase by 26 million barrels of oil equivalent. Adds that two new wells have been drilled from subsea templates and three more wells are expected to be drilled.
