Kenmare Resources PLC - lithium and zircon producer in Mozambique - For the six months ended June 30, heavy mineral concentrate output rises 43% year-on-year to 798,500 tonnes.
Ilmenite production is up 52% annually at 559,000 tonnes, zircon output rose 33% at 28,200 tonnes while rutile production grew 45% to 4,200 tonnes.
For the second quarter alone, HMC output increased 41% to 436,000 tonnes, with ilmenite production up 35% to 283,900, zircon output 28% higher at 14,900 tonnes and rutile production 47% higher at 2,200 tonnes.
Looking ahead, expects 2021 production to be in line with guidance, with ilmenite output between 1.1 million and 1.2 million tonnes, at least a 46% rise. Zircon production is tipped to improve at least 23% to between 53,100 to 57,900 tonnes while rutile output is expected to be between 9,500 to 10,300 tonnes, at least a 58% hike.
