James Cropper PLC - paper products manufacturer based in Cumbria, England - Pretax profit jumps 62% to GBP2.8 million in the year that ended March 26 from GBP1.7 million the year before. Revenue rises 33% to GBP104.9 million from GBP78.8 million. Attributes this to strong demand throughout the period and across all divisions. Declares a final dividend of 7.5 pence, taking its total payout to 10.0p, having paid nothing the year before.
Enters financial 2023 with a "record" order book. "The green agenda represents a significant growth opportunity for all our divisions," Chair Mark Cropper says. "Our mantra since the earliest days of the Covid crisis has been to 'emerge stronger' and I am confident that this has truly been the case."
