IN BRIEF: Hansard Global sees new business fall 22% in nine months

Hansard Global PLC - Isle of Man-based long-term savings provider - Reports new business in the nine months to March 31 totalled GBP95.8 million, down from GBP123.6 million in the same period a year prior. Assets under administration at March 31 were GBP1.17 billion, down from GBP1.23 billion at December 31. Says it is continuing to work with its prospective Japanese distribution partner for a launch date.

Chief Executive Gerham Sheward says: "As our targeted region of Japan remains under Covid-19 restrictions with increased case counts, we continue to work with our local distribution partner towards a suitable launch date. We also continue to take vigorous action to improve new business levels both with respect to our traditional business and by progressing opportunities to deploy new products more widely in Japan and other suitable territories around the world."
