Guild Esports PLC - UK-based owner and developer of esports team - Releases first Guild-branded digital product range for purchase by Rocket League gamers as an in-game customisation feature.
"Direct-to-consumer sales of in-game items are an increasingly important revenue stream in the esports industry and are expected to be the fastest growing esports revenue segment, forecast to increase from USD7.1 million in 2020 to USD17.2 million by 2023," company notes.
The debut decal range comprises two products, Octane and Dominus priced at GBP2.46 per decal. Guild will share revenue for each purchase with Epic Games owned Psyonix, the US-based developer of Rocket League.
