IN BRIEF: GreenRoc shares rise on Greenland exploration license win

8th Jul 2022 10:02

GreenRoc Mining PLC - London-based miner focused mineral projects in Greenland - Receives additional exploration license from government of Greenland for its Amitsoq graphite project. Says license includes potential southerly extension to the Kalaaq deposit.

"The grant of this licence allows us to consolidate our landholding around the Kalaaq deposit, including the area immediately south of the known Kalaaq graphite discovery, in addition to securing new zones which contain graphite-rich showings. These areas have not been subject to modern exploration techniques and only a few have been sporadically sampled in the past. As such, they offer GreenRoc the potential to reveal new graphite discoveries contiguous to Amitsoq," says Chief Executive Officer Stefan Bernstein.

London-based mineral exploration company Alba Mineral Resources PLC, which has a 54% stake in GreenRoc, notes the announcement.
