Good Energy Group PLC - Chippenham, England-based renewable electricity supplier and energy services provider - Electronic vehicle mapping service subsidiary Zap-Map appoints interim chief executive and commercial director as Good Energy Founder & CEO Juliet Davenport prepares to transition to a non-executive role.
Richard Bourne will be the new interim CEO of Zap-Map and will work alongside the Zap-Map board to develop its long-term strategic plan. Bourne was previously CEO at IT consulting services company Stratto Ltd and held senior positions at Cisco, Ubiquisys, Ericsson and Marconi. Alex Earl will be commercial director, focusing on driving continued growth of new revenue and services to Zap-Map's chosen markets. Earl set up Dutch smart grid manufacturer Alfen's UK business as its UK country manager, and also helped to set up NewMotion, part of Royal Dutch Shell PLC, as its head of product & energy.
"Richard and Alex join at a crucial inflection point for the decarbonisation of transport. Their experience will help Zap-Map take the next leap in its exciting growth story and reinforce itself as a leading player in the EV market in the UK and beyond," says Davenport, who also is chair of Zap-Map.
Earlier this month, Good Energy said Davenport would move to non-executive director positions for both Good Energy and Zap-Map once a new CEO for Good Energy was found.
