Glencore PLC - Barr, Switzerland based multinational commodity trading and mining company - Non-Executive Director Patrice Merrin will retire at annual general meeting on May 26. Merrin has served on the board for nine years. The company does not plan to replace her. In its 2022 annual report, Glencore said the average tenure of the board members will be under four years.
It said the small size and composition of its board assists in its collegiality and sense of purpose. "Therefore, we will continue with a board of eight directors, including three female directors and one from a minority ethnic background."
