Georgia Capital PLC - Tbilisi-based investor in domestic business in Georgia - Starts a USD50 million share buyback programme on Tuesday. The buyback will be run by Numis Securities Ltd and completed within nine months. Georgia Capital says the price paid for the shares will not exceed its latest reported net asset value per share, which was GBP33.61 as of June 30. The repurchased shares will be cancelled to reduce the company's share capital. The buyback is part of the GEL700 million, about GBP192 million, shareholder return that Georgia Capital announced with its half-year results earlier in August. It swung to a pretax profit of GEL991.7 million, around GBP279.1 million, in the first half of 2025, compared to a loss of GEL192.3 million a year before.
