IN BRIEF: GB Group expects full-year revenue, operating profit rise

22nd Apr 2021 14:48

GB Group PLC - identity management firm based in Chester, England - Says full-year revenue has grown by 9% to GBP217 million from GBP199 million in 2020, ahead of market consensus. Expects to report adjusted operating profit of GBP58 million for the full-year, a 21% increase from GBP48 million and ahead of updated market consensus. Says growth is underpinned by a combination of factors including cost savings as a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Notes full results for financial year ended March 31 will be released in June.

"Although Covid-related uncertainties remain front of mind, we are encouraged by the global easing of lockdowns and the pace of vaccinations in some of our key geographies. One legacy of the pandemic will be accelerated digitalisation. GBG will play a major role in this transition and over the next year we will continue to make important strategic investments in the business, its technology and in our people to fully leverage the opportunity this presents," says Chief Executive Chris Clark.
