Galliford Try Holdings PLC - Uxbridge, England-base construction company - Wins construction packages worth GBP387 million through a major defence programme. Says the major new Defence Estate Optimisation Portfolio is by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. Says the packages will include the refurbishment, new-build and single living accommodation projects at RAF bases as well as Catterick Garrison.
Chief Executive Officer Bill Hocking says: "The DEOP packages have been a long-term target for our business, with defence one of the key sectors in our Sustainable Growth Strategy. We are delighted to have been selected by the DIO for these workstreams which will provide us with a fantastic pipeline for years to come."
Current stock price: 182.24 pence each, up 1.2% on Thursday afternoon in London
