Galantas Gold Corp - owner of Omagh open pit gold mine in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland - Announces mining contractor QME Mining Services (NI) Ltd Ireland concludes due diligence process at Omagh gold project as part of its sustainable mine plan. Expects the plan to be completed in July, allowing Galantas to develop and mine ore zones down to the existing lower levels of the Omagh mine. Says mine plan is aimed at optimising production from dilation zones, and outlines a staged production plan which estimates initial production levels and staged expansions of production. Notes this will be a lower capital cost pathway for de-risking the growth in production while it focuses on the exploration and expansion of its mineral resources at Omagh.
Last September, Galantas appointed QME as a mining contractor to develop the access and exploration drives to the Joshua vein at Omagh.
