IN BRIEF: Frontier IP wins United Nations grant for marine project

Frontier IP Group PLC - London-based intellectual property commercialisation firm - Says portfolio company AquaInSilico has won a USD250,000 grant through the United Nations Development Programme's Ocean Innovation Challenge. Notes the two-year project called Phos-Value will help protect and conserve the coastal marine environment around the Cape Verde archipelago near west Africa. Frontier IP, which owns a 29% stake in AquaInSilico, says the technology will be used to create wastewater treatment processes to recycle nutrients as biofertilisers, as well as improving water quality for the islanders.

"The grant award represents a strong validation of the company's technology and the progress it has made," says Frontier IP Chief Executive Neil Crabb.
