Ergomed PLC - Guildford, England-based pharmaceutical services firm - Says its PrimeVigilance medical information business has established a new regional office in Tokyo, Japan and is fully operational from Monday. Notes the new subsidiary company, PrimeVigilance Japan KK, offers pharmacovigilance services including a dedicated Japanese safety database and full Japanese language medical information services. Pharmacoviligance involves monitoring the effects of drugs after they have been licensed for use, especially for previously unreported adverse reactions. Ergomed says the expansion provides existing and prospective PrimeVigilance clients the opportunity to extend their product coverage into the Japanese pharmaceutical market.
"Following the two US acquisitions in 2020 of Ashfield Pharmacovigilance, now PrimeVigilance USA, and MedSource, this marks another major step in our strategy to establish Ergomed as a leading international pharmaceutical services specialist," says Executive Chair Miroslav Reljanovic.
