Diversified Gas & Oil PLC - Birmingham, Alabama-based energy producer and distributor - Gets final approval from Companies House for name change to Diversified Energy Company PLC. Shares to begin trading under new name on Friday.
Company is "excited" by this step, with 2021 marking its 20th anniversary. It plans to tie the name change to a "more comprehensive rebranding" in conjunction with anniversary celebration in August.
"Our new name better reflects who we are and our long-standing business and growth strategy underpinned by clean-burning natural gas. Diversified is an important provider of energy to meet US-domestic demand, and we believe natural gas will play a vital role supporting a transition to increased renewable energy in the US and around the world," said Chief Executive Rusty Hutson Jr.
