DeepVerge PLC - York, England-based skin product test services company - Announces the addition of two containment level three laboratories at its York facilities to create a centre of excellence for the EcowaterOS consortium and Labskin initiatives, as well as increasing space for the launch of the Skin Trust Club this quarter. Says the centre of excellence expands on successful product testing using Labskin with the SARS-CoV-2 virus with University of Aberdeen, Public Health England, University of Liverpool and Cork Institute of Technology. Notes the work was completed with industry partners Dell Technologies, Unilever and the Water Rising Institute.
"The centre of excellence and the addition of two containment level three laboratories at our York, UK headquarters is the culmination of the successful outcome of handling with SARS-CoV-2 at the University of Aberdeen and the University of Liverpool, and used to test dangerous viruses such as Ebola and Lassa as far back as 2015. With Labskin services filling our existing space, the 95% conversion rate of pre-registration of the Skin Trust Club is a major achievement and additional space is to be added to accommodate the demand for home test kits, which will roll out in March," says Chief Executive Gerard Brandon.
