IN BRIEF: Compass switches trading currency of shares to US dollars

Compass Group PLC - Chertsey, England-based contract foodservice company - The trading currency of Compass shares on the London Stock Exchange changes to USD from GBP on Wednesday. The firm says the change aligns its share price currency with its reporting currency. Compass notes that this reduces foreign exchange volatility in the share price and simplifies the investment case for global investors. The change will not affect Compass's LSE listing or eligibility for FTSE UK index inclusion. Compass is a FTSE 100 constituent. Dividends will continue to be paid in GBP unless shareholders choose to receive them in USD.

Current stock price: USD28.73, up 4.5% in London on Wednesday

12-month change: down 15%
