Cohort PLC - Reading, England-based technology company with five businesses serving defence and security sectors - Says its subsidiary MASS Consultants Ltd gets an extension to a contract to provide countermeasures development to the UK Ministry of Defence. Says the contract is valued at GBP8.7 million for a period of five years, starting immediately. Cohort says it is a continuation of a longstanding contract held by MASS for over 27 years. MASS is an IT service management company.
Chief Executive Andy Thomas says: "This contract win is another example of MASS's excellent reputation for threat analysis and countermeasure development. It underpins MASS's unique ability and competitive advantage in the electronic warfare operational support field."
Current stock price: 469.55 pence each, up 6.7% on Wednesday morning in London
