Catenae Innovation PLC - Newcastle-based digital media technology firm - Says it has entered into an agreement with Afrik-ID Ltd to establish the commercial viability of its Onsite ID and Cov-ID applications in Botswana and across the Southern African Development Community. Under the agreement, for four months, Catenae will provide Afrik-ID with the applications for use in Afrik-ID's sales and marketing initiative. Following completion of the pilot - which is not expected to generate any revenue - a market analysis review will be undertaken to ascertain the commercial viability of deploying the apps across the region via Afrik-ID. Should this be favourable, Catenae will work towards entering into a commercial arrangement with Afrik-ID.
The development of multi-document digital wallet Onsite ID was finalised on Friday while design work on its Cov-ID app - intended as a Covid-19 virus infection verification passport - was completed on Wednesday.
