IN BRIEF: Carr's non-exec director exits to avoid conflict of interest

24th Sep 2021 14:36

Carr's Group PLC - Carlisle, England-based agriculture & engineering company - Non-Executive Director Kristen Weldon will not be standing for re-election at the company's annual general meeting, which is scheduled for January 11, 2022. Weldon takes new role as Global Head of Sustainable Investing at a financial services organisation. Says the new role requires no conflicts of interest, which includes holding office as a non-executive director at a publicly quoted company.

"Arrangements have been put in place to ensure that conflicts of interest do not arise during the period to the AGM in January 2022. The board is satisfied that [remains independent," the company says.

"The nomination committee will be reviewing its plans for succession, and an update will be provided in due course," it adds.
