Caledonia Mining Corp PLC - gold producer with operations in Zimbabwe - Reports record quarterly gold production from the Blanket Mine in Zimbabwe. In the three months ended June 30, company produces 20,091 ounces of gold, up 20% against the 16,710 ounces produced in the same quarter a year prior. First half production totals 38,606 ounces, up 29% against 29,907 ounces the previous year. Full-year production guidance is reiterated at between 73,000 to 80,000 ounces.
"Production in the first half of 2022 was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Production excludes an estimate of approximately 1,500 ounces of recoverable gold included in an ore stockpile which will be processed after the commissioning of additional milling capacity in the next few weeks," says Chief Operating Officer Dana Roets.
