British Smaller Companies VCT 2 PLC - venture capital trust - As at March 31, net asset value per share was 55.3 pence, up 0.5% from 55.0p at the end of December, while the total return over the first quarter of 2021 was 126.8p, up 1.4% from 125.0p.
"This year's lockdown seems to have had less impact on the economy than those in 2020. The demand for capital from the UK's small businesses shows no signs of slowing down and this should see an increasing numbers of investment opportunities through the rest of the year," the trust stated.
Looking ahead, British Smaller Cos VCT 2 is reviewing its plans for fundraising and intends to raise further capital later in 2021.
