IN BRIEF: Braime Ups Interim Dividend Despite Covid-19 Hit To Earnings

Braime Group PLC - Leeds-based manufacture of metal presswork and material handling components - Revenue for the first six months of 2020 falls 5.6% to GBP16.1 million from GBP17.1 million a year ago, while pretax profit drops 65% to GBP372,000 from GBP1.1 million. Blames decline in earnings to lower demand resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. Increases interim shareholder payout to 4.00 pence per share from 3.60p, in line with policy to maintain dividend growth. Forward order book and level of enquiries across all division at unusually low levels. More difficult than usual to predict future performance.
