IN BRIEF: Bradda Head's Basin East test work finds upgrade potential

30th Aug 2022 20:40

Bradda Head Lithium Ltd - North America-focused lithium development company - Stage two of test work programme at the Basin East lithium deposit in Arizona, US reveals potential for commercially concentrating its lithium clay grade by 26% through the rejection of 32% of unmineralised waste material.

Reduction in the impurities will help to reduce acid consumption and therefore processing costs.

"These results demonstrate the potential to commercially concentrate our lithium clay grade by 26% to 1,900 parts per million Li and then, using a simple sulphuric acid leach approach at atmospheric pressure, use standard extraction equipment to extract more than 98% of the lithium within an hour," says Chief Executive Officer Charles FitzRoy.

"Alongside this timely new test work initiative on our 'lithium-in-clay' deposits, Bradda Head has commenced drilling at San Domingo, our pegmatite project in Arizona," FitzRoy adds.
