Botswana Diamonds PLC - Dublin-based diamond exploration company with licenses in Botswana and South Africa - Says drilling has started at Thorny River diamond prospect in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Eight reverse circulation drill holes are planned to drill in-between the recently discovered river and river extension blow, expects programme to take around two weeks.
Draws initial positive indications from drill sample analysis at Thorny River in early August.
"This is an important step in our drive to establish a commercial diamond orebody at Thorny River," says Chair John Teeling. "We are very hopeful that these eight holes will confirm that the two blows, river and river extension are in fact one orebody".
