IN BRIEF: BlueRock Diamonds stops production at Kareevlei diamond mine

BlueRock Diamonds PLC - Kareevlei diamond mine in the Kimberley region of South Africa - Says operations at Kareevlei diamond mine have been suspended pending resolution of issues identified by South Africa's Department of Mineral Resources & Energy. DMRE issues Kareevlei with a Section 54 notice in terms of the Mine Health & Safety Act, given in the event of a deemed safety breach.

"Management is working closely with the DMRE to resolve the issues raised and hopes to restart processing in the near future. The shutdown is not currently expected to alter the guidance for the year ended December 31, 2021 of between 22,000 and 26,000 carats produced," it says.

Current stock price: 40.20 pence

Year-to-date change: down 34%
