IN BRIEF: Bezant Resources sees "pleasing" results at Gorob prospect

14th Jun 2022 15:50

Bezant Resources PLC - copper-gold project developer - Reports that drill assay results for eight diamond drillholes testing near-surface copper mineralisation at the Gorob Prospect in Namibia have returned "significant" intercepts.

These intercepts include 2.16% copper, 0.35 grams per tonne of gold over 2.4 metres in hole GRD006, and 2.03% copper, 0.18 grams per tonne of gold over 5.5 metres in hole GRD003. Says that the assays confirm strong copper-gold mineralisation extends to surface from deeper historic drill intercepts. Adds that further strike extensions remain to be tested.

Chair Colin Bird says: "The results attained to date are very pleasing and have put a completely new perspective on the Hope and Gorob complex. Whilst we have yet to receive assay results from Hope, visual indication suggests a similar situation exists at Hope. In addition to copper, gold assay results from our drilling suggests that an associated or possibly disassociated gold system also exists at Gorob."
