Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd - Bangladesh-based pharmaceutical company - Notes press reports that the Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd will resume Covid-19 vaccine dose exports into Bangladesh in December, and that Beximco itself is building its own capacity to produce Covid vaccines which could be operational in between four to six weeks.
In response, Beximco said it remains in dialogue with Bangladesh's government and Serum Institute and has not received any confirmation on vaccine exports.
In addition, the company confirms that it is establishing an in-house vaccine capability, but it at an early stage.
