Berkeley Energia Ltd - clean energy company focused on bringing wholly owned Salamanca project in Spain into production - Receives rejection of plans for construction of a uranium concentrate plant at the company's Salamanca project in Spain. The decision by the country's Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge follows an unfavourable report for the grant of the Authorisation for Construction for the plant by the Nuclear Safety Council announced on July 12.
In a strongly worded statement, Berkeley says it "strongly refutes" the decision and that it will continue to defend its position and "immediately consider the range of legal options available to it".
