IN BRIEF: Beowulf Mining loss doubles and looks forward to "busy" year

27th Aug 2021 15:21

Beowulf Mining PLC - exploration and development of gold, copper, lead and zinc - Interim pretax loss doubles to GBP686,815 from GBP303,029 year before. Administrative expenses in six months to June 30 rises to GBP686,862 from GBP303,612.

Chief Executive Kurt Budge says: "Beowulf has a busy back end of the year to look forward to. We will be submitting our comments to the Swedish Government regarding the UNESCO letter on Kallak. Given Minister Baylan's words in recent months about a decision once UNESCO had responded, the acceleration of fossil-free steel making in Sweden and the continued need for investment and new jobs in the north of Sweden, we remain optimistic that a decision will be 'forthcoming'."

""Finally, we are looking forward to permits being renewed and the start of an intensive drilling campaign in Kosovo this Autumn," Budge adds.
