Barryroe Offshore Energy PLC - Dublin-based oil and gas exploration company, which holds an 80% interest in and operates the Barryroe Field, an offshore licence area in the North Celtic Sea basin - Confirms appointment of Alan Curran as chief executive. Curran has been interim chief executive since July 4. Meanwhile, Colin Christie has been appointed as chief financial officer elect, effective from Wednesday. CFO Simon Brett will step down on February 28. Christie had joined Barryroe in November as corporate finance advisor.
Barryroe says: "Alongside the agreement reached in November 2022 and as updated on the January 19, for a EUR40 million convertible loan note that put in place funding for the Barryroe appraisal programme, which remains subject to ministerial consent, these appointments further underscore the board's commitment to pursue fully the potential of the Barryroe Field."
Current stock price: 2.85 pence, up 7.6% in London on Wednesday
