Barkby Group PLC - Abingdon, England-headquartered company with businesses in real estate, consumer & hospitality and life sciences - Enters new six year leasehold agreement for The Ebrington Arms, a village pub in Ebrington, Gloucestershire with five luxury rooms. The Cotswolds pub holds 2 AA Rosettes and has been rated the best 'UK Pub for Food' by the Daily Telegraph. Says the lease further expands the groups portfolio to seven premium pubs with a total of 60 rooms. Notes demand for Barkby pubs has been substantial since national lockdown eased in the UK.
Executive Chair Charles Dickson says: "I am pleased to report that recent trading within Barkby Pubs has been very strong since the end of national lockdown. The division is benefiting from staycations due to restricted international travel and a pent up demand for hospitality, based on current bookings we expect this trend to continue throughout the summer."
