IN BRIEF: Barkby buys Eliot Arms pub leasehold in Gloucestershire

Barkby Group PLC - Abingdon, England-headquartered company with businesses in real estate, consumer & hospitality & life sciences - Buys the leasehold of the Eliot Arms, a 19th century village pub with seven rooms in South Cerney, Gloucestershire. Says the pub has "undergone a comprehensive refurbishment and is now a destination venue in the area, offering exceptional service, food and accommodation". Barkby Pubs' portfolio now consists of nine premises with a total of 75 rooms.

Chair Charles Dickson says: "The Eliot Arms' location in the Gloucestershire countryside is highly complementary to our existing portfolio of premium pubs."

In July, Barkby had said it expected its revenue to rise by 29% in year that ended on July 2 to about GBP19.4 million from GBP15.1 million the year prior.

Current stock price: flat at 10.49 pence each on Friday in London
