Avation PLC - London-based aircraft leasing company - Enters commercial arrangements for the five aircraft that were on lease to Virgin Australia when it entered administration in April. Two of the former Virgin Australia ATR 72-500s have been leased to another Australian commercial airline until 2021 end. A conditional letter of intent has also been signed for another of the ATR 72-500 aircraft with an undisclosed airline customer, with a five year operating lease "at current market rates". Finance leases for the sale of the two remaining Fokker 100 aircraft have also been signed for the period to September 2020 at 6% above book value.
