Atome Energy PLC - Leeds, England-based producer and marketer of green hydrogen and ammonia - Reports pretax loss of USD5.6 million in 2022, widened from USD2.2 million in 2021. The company says the annual loss is in line with its expectations and reflects the increased level of activity and fast-track development throughout its portfolio. Total value of assets drops to USD6.6 million as of December 31 - split almost equally between cash and segment assets - from USD8.3 million a year before. ATOME says that its hydrogen transport Mobility Division is expected to start generating revenue this year.
"The most significant event for ATOME during the year was in May 2022, when we signed a long term 60 megawatts power purchase agreement with Ande, the national electricity supply and distribution company of Paraguay, further increased to 120 megawatts in November 2022," said Chief Executive Officer Olivier Mussat.
