Ascential PLC - London-based organiser of events for marketing and technology sectors - Agrees to acquire the commercial assets of Effie, an organisation that hosts marketing effectiveness awards. Ascential says Effie will join its Lions division, which promotes creative marketing. It doesn't disclose financial terms. Ascential also will form a long-term partnership with Effie Worldwide Inc, a not-for-profit organisation. Together, they will form the Effie Lions Foundation Inc to provide marketing education.
