Ascent Resources PLC - onshore energy firm focused in Caribbean and Europe - Says it has, along with subsidiary Ascent Slovenia Ltd agreed to postpone the initiation of international arbitration to until at least March 19 on the request of the Republic of Slovenia as the country plans to settle the claim in an amicable manner.
The claim against the government of Slovenia is regarding unfair treatment at Petisovci gas field. In May 2020, Ascent said it believed the company was forced to conduct an unnecessary environmental impact assessment in order to conduct well stimulation work at the project.
