IN BRIEF: Arkle Resources strikes lower grade gold at Mine River

25th Nov 2021 06:54

Arkle Resources PLC - gold and zinc explorer with assets in Ireland - Hails discovery of gold in rock at two new locations at Mine River on the Wexford and Wicklow border in Ireland. Trenching has now grown the Tombreen target to a 1.5 kilometre long, 750 metre wide gold corridor. Drilling identifies further gold mineralisation of the B and C soil anomalies.

Chair John Teeling comments: "The Tombreen target continues to grow in size. Gold has been discovered in new areas along strike and at depth. Recent drilling has hit gold but not at the high grade of hole 21-TB-11 which contained 51.6 grams per tonne of milled ore gold over 0.5 metres. The gold system at Tombreen is big and has multiple narrow veins. The gold is nuggety, making it very hard to get consistent drilling results."

Drilling has now stopped for 2021 with the last results from analysis due in the coming weeks, Arkle says.
