Anglo-Eastern Plantations PLC - palm oil and rubber producer in Indonesia and Malaysia - Says output of fresh fruit bunches was 6% higher annually in nine months ended September 30. Says crude palm oil ex-Rotterdam price surges 26% higher year-on-year to USD665 per metric tonne. "CPO prices have been climbing steadily since early June 2020 after the major economies relaxed their economic lockdown," Anglo-Eastern says. "CPO prices are expected to be strong for the remaining part of the year due to anticipated supply shortage because of the moderate La Nina weather phenomenon and the surge in the price of soyabean oil, a competing peer," the company adds.
